Exceptional Standards Strengthen a Critical, Winning Regional Bid for DTEC
Selected because of our work in developing the Great South West Defence Prospectus, a document that the College valued highly for its clarity, strategic positioning and ability to articulate the region’s defence capabilities and future opportunities.
The Problem
The Defence Prospectus helped shape regional thinking, built momentum across multiple stakeholders, and provided a platform for future investment and focus. So, what stood out for Yeovil College, was our ability to distil complex industrial, skills and strategic priorities into a coherent and compelling regional narrative that would support a winning bid.
We delivered the Yeovil College Defence Technical Excellence College (DTEC) Prospectus and the National Defence College Network solution - a visually credible, strategically aligned document, that was compelling for government, defence primes and regional partners alike. It communicates ambition without hyperbole, complexity without confusion, and vision without losing sight of operational reality.
Our Approach
We had to rapidly understand the landscape in which Yeovil College operates — an environment defined by complex employer networks, evolving defence and manufacturing priorities, and the requirement for precise, credible communication aligned to national strategy.
Having the capacity to absorb information at pace, from the College’s pre16 STEM engagement model through to the national defence college network and the wider industrial ecosystem, enabled us to develop deep insight into their mission, challenges and wider strategic role.
We translated that into intelligent, impactful recommendations that strengthened both their positioning and their confidence in the messages they were presenting.
"Throughout our work together, Copper Turtle have been insightful, collaborative and highly responsive. They listen, challenge constructively, synthesise information with speed and precision, and consistently elevate the quality of the final output. Their work has materially strengthened our bids, our narrative and our wider strategic influence"
