Hat No. 1 at the Specialist Defence and Security Convention UK - in my role as a volunteer, for the wonderful charity, Service Dogs UK.

Alongside Bryan Maddams and Ferris, today was all about meeting as many people as possible, both new connections and old, to showcase the fantastic work that Service Dogs UK does to support veterans from both the military and blue light services, suffering from PTSD.

Blown away by how generous people were with their:

Time to listen
Donations
Offers of hosting awareness sessions with their organisation(s)
Offers of pro bono time, for things like marketing etc.
Commercial sponsorship opportunities for events or individual dogs

If Ferris could have scanned badges, he'd have met the most people I reckon!

Thanks to John Puddy for an overview of the Land Rover with the Ultra PCS kit inside it, great to see you again.

Also, great to see/meet - Shaun Elmstrom MCGI CISM and Andrew Emmett from Telent Technology Services Ltd, Chris ‘Barney’ Barnard and Ash Risby MSyI from Vizgard, Patrick McQueen PGDip MIIRSM and Paddy Osmond, Jane Phillips (small as you know Chris Wardman), Abbey Addison BEng CEng from HOCHTIEF (UK) Construction Ltd, Karl Fearnley from Babcock International Group, Gabrielle Brooks and Kaj Treffers from Septentrio part of Hexagon.

On the drive home, I reflected on the day, whilst consuming a gift from Stevette Potts. My conclusion is - life is like a handful of jelly beans, eaten in the dark…surprising!
